The Gathering Barn grounds holds 300+ guests.

Yes! We do have a vendor list, to help you narrow down your options, but you do not have to go off of our list. You can choose any licensed caterer you want without an additional fees to pay.

We have multiple outdoor ceremony locations to choose from. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the back of the barn can be set up for the ceremony at no additional cost.

There is enough parking for 400 vehicles

Smoking is only permitted in our designated area by the wagon wheel in front of The Gathering Barn.

Yes, we allow cars left overnight. We ask that they are picked up the next morning.

No. The Gathering Barn is a flameless facility. Only flameless candles are allowed.

We hold our ceremonies at 4:00 or later. Our local hotels do not allow for guests to check in before 3:00, so a 4:00 ceremony allows your guests time to check in and get to the venue before your ceremony.

City ordinance says music has to end at 11:00 and couples and their belongings are out at 12:00.

You are responsible for providing the table linens and centerpieces. Although we work with several decorators and linen providers to eliminate that stress as well. Ask Megan our coordinator how she can help!

We have two hotels 3 miles down the road- The Holiday Inn and The Country Inn and Suites. We have multiple other hotels, campgrounds and Airbnb’s within 10 miles.

The Gathering Barn at Busy Barn Farm Adventures is just 35 minutes from the Illinois border making it an ideal destination wedding for couples looking for a unique cost effective barn wedding, sure to amaze your guests.

Unfortunately no! We’ve carefully handcrafted liquor packages to suit all of your beverage needs- so you can sip, celebrate, and enjoy every moment!

• Meet your Florist, DJ, Photographer, and Caterer

• Hand out checks to settle any remaining bills.

• Help with spacing, timing, and coordinating for the ceremony.

• Cleaning up ceremony space of trash, flower petals, and decorations.

• Refilling and stocking your appetizers, desserts, and late-night snacks.

• Clearing tables throughout the night to make evening clean-up easier.

• Removing only personal decorations not venue property this becomes difficult as many helpful friends and family members find it difficult to distinguish the difference between the venue's decorations and what the couple has brought.
